Stanford

It's been awhile since I've posted. (btw K10 no, the laptop isn't fixed yet... it freaked out during re-install)... ANYWAY.... I called Stanford today, as I have an appt on Monday. Since I'll be out of town this weekend, I wanted to see if I could be seen this week. For the last couple weeks or so, I've been in a lot of pain in my neck, shoulders and part of back. Well the stupid receptionist jerked me around, I was so mad! She fumbled around and said I didn't have a set appt next week, to which I said yes, I made it when I was there in July. After a few seconds of more "fumbling", she said, "actually, I didn't want to scare you, but Dr. Ryu's out of the office this week." Uhmmm EXCUSE ME but she scared me just by saying I didn't have a scheduled appointment! I basically had to go through hoops just to finally be able to talk to the nurse. I should have taken note of the (?)'s name so I could have reported her. I talked to her later as the nurse and I were playing phone tag, but I couldn't tell you her name to save my arse. Why are people so stupid? Especially when working in the medical profession?
It seems like I usually have a problem with Stanford, aka one of the best medical systems in the US. Grrr I don't get it! I know, this is another bitch blog, sorry. :(
Anyhoo... I have no clue what's going on for tomorrow, well, all I know is I"m going out to lunch, but then I am not being told what's happening at night... I'm scared! heheheh...Scott said I should be. HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As John says, you can just wrap me up in cotton 'til Christmas! =P psst, K10 if you're reading this, cya 2mro =)

Disturbing obituary

Hello people, it's been awhile since I've posted let alone read any blogs. I heard about this on the radio this morning and didn't know wether to laugh or cry. It was originally said to have been stated at: http://www.sfist.com but I didn't find it. I then confirmed it with snopes, and it's true. Check it out.

Phewww, saw the Dr. today finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THANK GOD! I've been waiting forever (seemingly) for this day to come... My Dr. left me with no restrictions however I still keep the brace on for 2 1/2 more weeks. But at least I can roam around via car again! The weird thing is he said I just couldn't drive, err, well, no problem there anyway. =P I have to go back in September... it's been a long haul. I had an xray done before leaving the hospital but they didn't give me the results so I get to wait... they said if they don't call then assume everything's ok. I hate when they do that... I wanna know either way... anyway, blah blah blah... just wanted to pass on the news...
talk to you guys later... am still going to try to take it easy until I fully get rid of this thing!

Teepee

So... my mom and I were talking during breakfast and she was remindind me about teepee. I've been trying to get out to "walk" every other day or so, and the last time mom went walking with me, she pointed out some TP hanging from the next door neighbor's tree. So, we went on our stroll, and this morning she told me about Jan. (our neighbor). The day this happened, I don't know, maybe Monday or Tuesday? Jan screamed at the kids and then later called the cops. Apparently half the street was loaded with tp everywhere, I think stringing from tree to tree sort of in an arch pattern. The street was blocked off somehow and people probably couldn't see where they were going, I don't know, part of the translation from mom seemed jumbled. ANYWAY, Jan called the cops, of course by the time they got there the kids were gone, BUT the cops cleaned up most of the mess. Nice. :)
We've had some idiots kiddy corner behind us somewhere still playing with fireworks/crackers, every time I hear them it startles me and jars my neck, would love to catch THEM in the act. After we had our bbq on July 4, people left just b4 9 so mom and I watched the display on t, and Scott & John each were on their roofs, Scott had his guitar and amp up there, he said kids across the street were "trying" to play music, not very good at it... I told him he should have shown them how to really play. Hahaha. Anyway sorry this should have been more than one blog.
Hope everyone is doing well, unfortunately (?) my cell is working again, I was hoping to get a new one. :P Back and neck are bugging me and have been for a few days so I guess tonight I'll try the regular bed again as opposed to the lounge chair.

Well I FINALLY got a hold of someone at Stanford after playing phone tag! (It also helped that I had my phone fwd to my cell :P )... my reg nurse will be out of town, the Dr. too, TWICE, gone for 2 weeks then back then gone again fora couple of weeks. He was laughing at the nurse's sub, wondering why I was calling wha's wrong etc etc. Aaaaaaaaaaah!!! So I can't get in earlier... I COULD have been seen by a different neurosurgeon, but not following surgery from my original one, that just seems creepy to me not knowing exactly what they're dealing with. So, here are some not so great pics of me, I hope they turn out, if not I'll have to try again later after I re enable zoomtext so I'm not straining so much, and if this computer behaves long enough, yeah, right. (Kristen does Mike know any IT stuff?!)... anyway I have a graphic image without my brace if you want to see it just let me know, my neck is swollen and numb.... The numbness in my extremities went away temp but it's back and the sub nurse said it would prob take 6 mos to a year to completely go away. (I can't even take ibuprofen for 6 months)..... it's going to be a long haul. :( Sorry for all the glum notes, I'm just a little bummed and going crazy...

I swear Momzilla is trying to kill me...

Well I just got back from going to Walgreens with my mom because I needed shower gel. (Had I known they had green tea & cucumber I would have just sent her off for it). She really REALLY wanted us to go home the long way.. the only problem is, the side we walked on (and I reminded her of this) was not paved very well, thus, making us walk in the street (bibbadabibbadabibbada, um, uneven pavement with a walker is NOT fun) plus she was always walking severl feet in front of me and not helping me very much..... I am so FRUSTRATED with her, I wish she would have just gone ahead and kept her plans to go to Alaska, would be much safer for me anyhow. So this weekend she asked Scott to spend one night here because she & Jim are going to a wedding that they were originally declining. (The bride asked that each guest help pay for the honeymoon and had a very specific registry)... how dumb. And my mom is getting weird about how much I eat again, how often I eat, etc etc etc. But with her being "exhausted" and such, I know she's been feeling sorry for herSELF having to help me through this which doesn't help me at all... I'm going crazy, I'd much rather be wilting away at a rehab center to tell you the truth. :( Scott is coming over later with Nintendogs and Brain Age which should keep me quiet for awhile but I'm not sure about the suduko portion, I'm never good at that. I love doing the word jumbles in the newspaper. Sorry for venting but it's so frustrating to have limitations and have your own parent sitting around feeling sorry fo themselves. Yesterday I was reviewing the release notes from the hospital and I shouldn't be sitting for more than 30 min at a time... I told mom I'm not used to that, I usually sit for a lot longer.. to which she said, "Well I can't do that I have to keep moving I can't sit still"..... Yeahhhhh...... :( I just wish she would use her head sometimes... at least dvd's and games have kept me quiet for awhile. Oh, I sent an email to Thabto, hadn't heard from him for awhile, told him about my surgery, he sent me a 2 wk trial for Netflix, I might just go for it.. =)
Sorry for whining :(

Home from the Hospital

Hi all,
I'm home... went in Thursday for surgery, it's Saturday... I'm in a lot of pain, have to wear the neck brace for two months, no ibuprofen for SIX months, and I have to pretty much stay at home, am not allowed to go in the car anywhere for two months. I feel like someone kicked me in the neck... and patient care (scare) at Stanford was not the greatest so I'm grateful & happy to get home though will be uncomfortable for awhile. It's somewhat difficult to use the phone because my ears are engulfed in the brace, and my throat/voice is messed up anyway, swallowing is an unpleasant chore. So to those i owe phone calls to you will have to wait for awhile, I apologize. It's going to be a boring summer but I needed to get this done, possibly more surgery in the future...
btw, Sarah please pass this note on to everybody on Wednesdaay for me? I'd appreciate it...
Thank you everyone,
take care, being on computer isn't TOO bad but I should be keeping my neck still and i have to bend it down a little bit so maybe no computer for awhile....
take care,
Diane

Speaking of twitter

Yay, another blog, aren't you people proud of me? Kten, I went to your twitter page last night and now I can't load it, the server keeps timing out.. let me know how you like your new book player. (I think that's what it was?).. I should have commented last night. After I post this I'm going back to bed til dinner. I'd been sniffling and such for a couple days, got this really killer headache last night and viola, I'm sick again.. :( I'm gonna try to lay low so they hopefully won't have to cancel my surgery on Thursday.. not sure when I can get the Avon stuff to you K, but it's in John's truck so maybe he'll drop it off sometime.. ttyl.. oh yea, speaking of twitter, John and I were driving around the other day listening to KGO, Leo LaPort, the gadget/tech guy and he was talking about twitter among other websites and I figured it sounded familiar. When I sparked an interest, of course John just rolled his eyes. :)

Tick tock tick tock

The clock is ticking, time is wasting away, June 12th will be here sooner than I think. I have started throwing a few things together to take with me for the hospital...pleh. I was trying to find my cooking binder so I could give you guys the rest of the recipes but I can't find it among a few other things I wanted to take to the hospital. I've been congested for a couple days, if I get sick they might have to post pone things... nooooooooo, the waiting is bad enough! I hope you guys have fun in cooking this week. :) Sorry, no links, not a whole lot to say, just misc. chatter, PS K10 please e-mail me that social networking site you were talking about? Thanks...

Pre Op....errr, yeah.

OK it took me a couple of hours to get my pre-op done... for some reason the stupid anesthesiologist CANCELLED the DOCTORS orders for chest Xray and EKG.... his only reason was "Your heart is fine, you don't need these"... did anyone bother to tell me that instead of making me wait endlessly? As my mom said, the guy was arrogant... yeah, I don't like him, I just hope he knows what the hell he's doing... BTW my surgery's @ 8 next Thursday, I have to be there at 6... =/ anyway my mom had to point out to him "She has multiple problems." Who the $)(*!$ would let the anesthesiologist decide wether to cancel orders?!?...... I don't know if I can trust this quack or not... stay tuned... hm, I should start a medical gripe blog..
Other news... the house real estate sign went up today and there's already a tour tomorrow so who knows...

Virtual Tour of my Dad's house

My Dad's house will officially be on the market in the next day or two. :( (Well, ok it's a mixed blessing in disguise, I gotta start looking for real estate so I won't lose my 1/3 of the money due to stipulations of being on disability.) Here are just SOME of the pics just in case anyone wants to peek. The paint job on the outside is new, for the longest time, err, as long as he and Scott lived there since 86, it used to be an off whiteish creamish color with olive trim, similar to an inversion of what it is now... I liked the old one better. :P

Higher Learning?

OK,
I'm blogging just for the sake of blogging, and knowing it's good for my health, I thought I'd blog a little nonsense, and see if I get any replies for this. :) (BTW guys I still have to catch up with reading your blogs, sorry... =/ btw when John ran the zone alarm virus scanner the other night, after 24 + hours it was still running so I finally made him quit... hahaha... I told him to uninstall a couple things I'm not using but... yeah... well... pleh
Anyway... I was just thinking about something. Once in awhile John and I talk about rainbows when they're in the sky. I was always taught that the sequence was: Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Purple. John has always told me, "No, it's ROYGBV... Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Violet". However in a few cases, I've seen it posted as: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet... err, now that I'm completely confused, I think John's sequence was ROYGBIV ie Indigo... is this indicative of people who learned differently think differently and are taught differently altl throughout their educational years? (starting with the Montessori preschool vs... I don't remember). I remember when I was taking an ECE class at DeAnza many moons ago it sounded like Montessouri method of teaching was more structured and snobbish...
Thoughts? Just rambling..
Check this out, didn't read the whole thing though...
Rainbow
Ciao for now. :)

Freaking out =(

Thanks for all the feedback you guys, I really appreciate it. (Hey you should be lucky I'm blogging =P hehe) I've been doing some research on the Degenerative Disk disease and believe it's hereditary, so am anxious to see what the new Dr. finds when my mom sees him... it? I hate losing sleep over this and becoming a basket case. Anyway check this out, I gave John the laptop last night (Friday), this morning he started a virus scan using zone alarm's anti virus and over 12 hours later it's still scanning. I told him just to cancel it and I would do it later, I even told him to uninstall a couple things but nooooo..pleh he did say it took a long time to scan thru itunes and has been taking forever on the sims stuff. I probably won't be able to chat Thursday the 5th, I found out my mom is having some kind of mexican suare for a friend that will be in town. (She didn't tell ME.. hmf), plus I might not have the computer back by then. Friday is my pre-op and hopefully soon thereafter I'll find out the time of my surgery on the 12th. Ttyl

My Sims Kingdom

Well I was tangling back and forth with EA customer service who is giving me roundabout info as to why I'm having problems with TS2...
Anyway, Kristen, I thought you might?? be interested in this:

Adding Insult to Injury?

I e-mailed my DOR counselor to tell her that I would probably not be up to doing a whole lot for the next 2 months or so due to my neck surgery and the biatch dropped me and said I would have to re apply. This is the same (fill in the blank) that would not reply to my numerous phone calls and e-mails asking her why she would drop me if I was having health problems and needed to be put on hold for awhile? I am so furious. This is the same person that told me I have probably been dumped from an agency that helps visually impaired people find work. (When I was attending workshops etc through the agency, I had to bail for awhile because my dad was dying). I was told by my caseworkier at the agency that I would be put on hold and my case would never be closed. My stupid counselor had the gall to tell me "Once SAF closes your case you have to start over"..... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!
Kristen are you sure you want to apply for DOR?!
I'm fuming. :(

Corpectomy

Okay ok, I'm still up, sorry Kristen. :P I'm feeling restless and overwhelmed about my surgery and I've been in pain for awhile, but will go to sleep after I send this. My mom did a little research and sent me this in e-mail so I thought I'd give you guys the run down about my upcoming surgery... Happy Reading??? I'm too lazy to fix the html on the links, if you want that info please e-mail me and I'll forward it to you...

Cervical myelopathy is a serious problem. The pressure on the spinal cord usually will not go away without surgery and the symptoms will most likely continue to get worse. If you do not improve rapidly with non-operative care, your doctor may suggest surgery to relieve the pressure on the spinal cord.
There are several surgical procedures used to treat cervical spinal stenosis that is causing cervical myelopathy. Both types of operations have the same goal - to relieve the pressure on the spinal cord by making the spinal canal larger. In some cases, the surgeon may suggest an operation called a laminectomy. In this operation, the back side of the vertebrae is opened to allow more room for the spinal cord.
In other cases, the surgeon may suggest an operation from the front of the neck - a corpectomy (corpectomy means "remove the body") and strut graft. This operation allows the surgeon to remove the vertebral body of the vertebra, along with any bone spurs pushing into the spinal cord. The vertebrae are then replaced with a solid piece of bone graft (called a strut graft). The strut graft heals over time to create a spinal fusion where the vertebral bodies have been removed.
You can learn more about these surgical procedures by reviewing the following documents, entitled:

* Posterior Cervical Laminectomy
* Cervical Corpectomy and Strut Graft

For information relating to rehabilitation for cervical spinal stenosis, refer to the document, entitled:

* Neck Rehabilitation

Surgery

Hi people,
Just wanted to let you know I saw the neurosurgeon today, and to my surprise the cervical stenosis had gotten worse... (I have degenerative disk disease)..<> I'm having surgery on June 12, the Dr. wanted to do it sooner rather than later, he was concerned. So I'm having my pre Op on June 6th, the surgery will be general, 2 hours and in Stanford for a couple of days. So mom will postpone her trip until ??? I will have to be in a neck collar for about 8 weeks.
Mom had been having tingling & numbness in one of her hands, and today, the same day of my appt, she found out that HER tingling and numbness was from degenerative disk disease as well, so it was suggested she see a neurologist..... but when????... wanted to give you all a head's up...

Thirsty? How about a nice Hawaiian *PUNCH*!

Okay, this blog might win the "whatever" award, but, that doesn't matter to me. :P I have a headache and I'm "babysitting the oven". (Btw K10 I made "nuns belly" this morning... =) turned out pretty good, I doubled the recipe, but only used 1 & 1/2 servings of the eggs cuz they were xlarge). I was at Walgreens last week doing some miscellanous shopping. As some of you know, a couple years or so ago, Crystal Light introduced 5-calorie "On the Go" packets, you mix them with bottled water, and they're only 5 calories. See here for more info. Then other companies caught on and started doing this, I picked up some of the Wylers' brand which are very tasty, and sugar free I might add. Some of the flavors of which I bought include (what I've tasted) Hawaiian Punch Lemon Berry Squeeze (Sugar Free) and Hawaiian Punch Berry Blue Typhoon, also sugar free, and very pretty to look at I might add. I don't know if Walgreens still has the sale, but they were a dollar each, each pack comes with 8 envelopes. That's pretty good consindering Crystal Light and Weight Watchers sells them for an average of $3-$4 a box. I'm finding them a very good way to drink water, I'm not big on just drinking water, but I have cut way back on drinking sodas and feel just as refreshed drinking these. I got hooked awhile back and bought a whole bunch of packets and was almost emptied out of them when I found the Wylers packets. Go grab some!! (Note, they work best with 20 oz bottles, however, I have a plastic cup that holds just over a quart of water, and the taste in that size is still pretty strong)...=)

And here's an Avon award I recieved for my 5 year mark... I'll dig up the plate and write about the inscription later, sorry....

Today's adventures.....

Sorry it's been awhile; I've been fighting another cold, was thinking I had another sinus infection for awhile.... this morning after the meeting at the bctr, I hung out with Scott for awhile and he took me to the Dr. this afternoon. (if you have a weak stomach, stop reading....) Just as I feared, my toenail is once again infected. So Monday he's going to pull THE WHOLE THING.... he pulled part of it 6 months ago and it was almost fully healed... but it looks icky and is painful and I wanted to get it taken care of before going to Mexico next week. So aside from taking Kefflex and Alavert (i think)?, too lazy to check, for allergy stuff, I'm having a blast... :P I haven't been on much, haven't read blogs or anything, you guys know how I do with a lot of reading that isn't scrolling sometimes...... =( NO I'm not making excuses...
Anyhoo, I'm also still sorta mystified about last week's events. =/
Am going to go soak my feet and the rest of me for awhile......
And now we return you to your
regularly scheduled surfing...

Frustrated

Well this is going to be another BLARG blog.... I am so frustrated, I did not get very much sleep at all last night. With John's mom being in the hospital again (I swear, Darrin or Ed if you are reading this and John finds out I posted this he will kill me since he hasn't contacted you guys yet!).... heh... and Nancy having died last night, I am very frustrated. Last night John's mom was taken by ambulance because she could not even sit up in bed, she hadn't had much of an appetite for the last while, and was only eating partial meals. Well, to make a long story short, the ER was packed last night, she finally got to one of the ICU departments at midnite... oddly enough, my friend Nancy was in the same hospital and died last night, I'm wondering if she was in the same ICU, let alone the same room... very eerie... Nancy never really bounced back from her heart attack, and last night when a friend went to visit, Nancy was not responsive, so they called Code Blue, and she was gone. I first met Nancy when I got a job at the blind center and we had been pretty good friends for awhile, but shortly before my Dad died, for some reason Nancy and I became more and more distant. I have a lot of guilt in my heart...
Nancy's friend Debbie was supposed to be my travel companion for the Mexico trip... but she decided not to go now and move back into Nancy's house until things get worked out, Nancy had no will or durable power of attorney or anything. Grand Circle Travel wants to charge me an extra $250 in Debbie's absence even though I paid insurance... they mumbled something about paying the insurance back but I'd still have to pay double occupancy for the room for two weeks in various locations. I was ready to give them my CC #, mom got off her phone call and stopped me and she's pissed... I went out to the hospital later, and mom said she was going to give them a call after she had company come and go. When I got home she was sacked out so who knows what's going to happen.
John told me Sara has kenotosis but I can't find much on that, I think he's got the wrong word, because from what I did find that just pertains to motion sickness. Sara's electrolites are really out of whack, along with her sugar and potassium. They moved her to a regular room today and claimed she MIGHT be going home tomorrow but I'm not very optimistic. I've been trying to hound John via text stating I think he got the wrong word for Sara's diagnosis, but haven't heard back from him. Scott, who just finished a medical term. class, was going to try to help as well, but without knowing fully what the word is we're at a loss. This morning, Sara's sugar was 68-69, this afternoon it was 555, it had been bouncing all over the place, and they were trying to feed her a standard diet, some with high sugar, and juice... Tomorrow I have my Stanford Neurology consultation... right now I just want to hide under a rock for awhile, I didn't get very much sleep last night due to agitation..
I'll keep you guys posted...I don't know how useful I'll be for cooking on Thursday.

Blarg

This is the general blarg blog... :P I really don't have much to say but I'm just keeping this thing up... btw, dork, I saw your coke blog and it really made me thirsty, but I didn't read it yet... I'm still not using my laptop until I can get the battery checked, whenever that will be. I've been having a headache the last couple of days trying to do anything with a lot of reading on the computer.. I can't wait to get to my neurology appt on Wednesday. I'm really going to have withdrawls on my Mexico trip, I'm leaving the laptop here for a couple reasons. 1.), it's flaky right now, and 2.) I honestly think that something happened to it when I took it with me to Florida and carried it through the airport and on board. I remember it used to be if you had something electronic or relative, you didn't have to have it zapped through security if you didn't want, but with the tight security measures, that's no option.
OK enough rambling... I probably won't be able to chat this week without the laptop...

OMG.....

After having a day from hell, I had an interesting experience... well, the hellish part was dealing with my mom being crabby at me for the better part of the day... sigh... if anyone wants to know, let me know.
Okay some of you may be familiar with FreeCycle (http://www.freecycle.org), I posted that we were trying to get rid of a small end table. I had one person respond and I looked at her email address, thinking "that name sounds REALLY familiar", so no sooner did I respond asking if that's who she was, I went to an old website where I thought I would know this person from, and sure enough, she was the owner of that website. I knew her way back when from the local BBS days.....(Black Lace was her handle)... so when she reads my e-mail she's probably gonna freak!!!!
Stay tuned... if she's available to pick up the table, it would be Sunday, so I'll see if I'm around to talk to her for a few. :)

Ugh...

Just dropping in to rant and rave about nothing in particular, you should be used to that by now! =P I was gone half the day, when I got home, I noticed that half of my recycle was spewed into the street... but, then attatched to the can was a note saying: "PLEASE MAKE SURE THE BIN OPENS IN FRONT" Oh my god.... how embarassing... my mom's been out of town so I had been taking care of the cans... but if the guy took the time to handwrite a note, they could have thrown the garbage back into the bin or something.

I just finished making a ?loaf? of Irish Soda Bread... it was a sticky mess and I had to put in a LOT of extra flour and even then I couldn't really knead it very well, however, it tastes ok although it got quite brown and I had to take it out 10 minutes early....Kristen I might bring you some tomorrow to critique (which would include throwing it across the room as long as you aim for Tim... hahahaha)

St. Patty's Day

Ello people,

What's up? Not a whole lot here really. I was surfing the net earlier in search of the long lost Shamrock Shakes from Mcdonalds, and I found an interesting link: They're baaaaaaack! Did you know they also used to have shamrock sundaes? This is a new discovery for me. John and I drove around last year (?) to about 3-4 McDonalds trying to find the shakes, and one of them had said that it was a corporate decision not to offer them anymore. Sure, there are knock-off recipes, but I bet none of them will ever taste the same.
I went with my friend Krissy today for lunch at:Pasta Pomodoro, I convinced her to get a vegetarian sandwich along with me, it was really good. It also came with a salad which was topped with gorgonzola cheese, makes a different taste treat for a typical salad. We had a little bit of bread with olive oil, the last two times we had gone there together, we never got our bread!
After that we roamed around Walgreens where I bought a few misc. odds and ends of necessity, it was hard looking down the Easter aisle and not buying anything for myself.
Finally we ended up at See's Candies where I didn't buy anything. We were both a little annoyed that they didn't give us free samples. They must have sensed that we were trying to lose weight or something; it's not like we're the size of elephants! So that was my day. I was wishing I could go out for St. Patty's Day since I'm part Irish (a whole fifth! ha!), but I'll just stay to myself and be lazy tonight (what else is new?) Last year John and I went to The Garret for lunch and John ordered a glass of Chardonnay for me and had them put a few drops of green food coloring in it. He told me that this morning he fixed oatmeal for himself and his mom and dabbed it with food coloring. Hmm, being that I"m not big on oatmeal, I really don't wanna comment on that although his mom got a kick out of it. I can't believe Easter's just around the corner... no plans. :(

Kooza

Okay so I went to Kooza tonight with family and a neighbor. (Kooza ="Cirque De Solei"). It was ok, we had seating in the 10th row, a lot of the acts were incredible, watching them just set my vertigo into orbit... let alone walking up the stairs to get into the seating area. Anyway, there was a half hour intermission so I made a couple of phone calls really quick, then I got on to Yahoo Messenger. I got a text so I texted back, and screwed up the text (sorry for YELLING in that text trung).. one of the "circus carnies" was paranoid; towards the end of intermission he was upset because I was using my phone.. I suppose it's because it was close to the end of intermission but still...? He came back around a few minutes later and glared at me for a minute to make sure the phone was nowhere visible... how stupid. I could see keeping my phone on vibrate as per their request, during the show but during ANY part of intermission? But then of course as the lights went down a few people were flashing their cameras... blah...
Aside from being crowded, and some things being a little hard to see, and some of the expensive crap, it was OK, I'm just glad to be home. (Oh yeah, I heard some guy complaining about a $5 hot dog)... hm, maybe he should have gone to Carls first and gotten a $6 burger??? haha

I hate Target

YAY! I'm bringing back my blog! (For now hehehe)... I want anyone's input on this...
I am starting to HATE Target's Customer Service, which mind you is outsourced like everything else, seemingly, on the planet these days. I'm sorry but in order to represent a company, I think the first qualification shoulb be to comprehend English.... "Know it... Learn It... Live It..." I have opted to have paperliess billing for my Target Visa account. Anytime lately I try logging in it says "invalid username/password", so I have to call India to have them reset my account. (I'm so glad I don't have to pay for the call! I have been round and round with these stupid people, John doesn't see why I'm so wound up and he tells me not to worry about it til Monday. I keep trying to enter all the temp info they give me, they claim all my security information is wrong, but they won't say (on the website) wether my 3 digit security code is wrong, my last 4 of my social, which I damn well know is correct, or what. They don't have the concept down of the English language and nobody will call me to try to fix it. I think there's a problem with their website but they keep telling me to call the toll free number to have my account reset. If I can figure out where to send a letter to, I'll probably end up cutting up my target visa card and send it back to them. I'm soooo disgusted.
